Regulatory Lawyer (6+ PQE) | Leeds | Harkaye Core Talent

Harkaye Core Talent is delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded and rapidly growing commercial law firm in Leeds in the search for an experienced Regulatory Lawyer to join its market-leading Regulatory team.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior solicitor with 6+ years’ PQE looking to work on high-profile, complex and strategically significant regulatory matters for an outstanding client base across the retail, transport and logistics sectors.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and a substantial increase in instructions, the firm is looking to appoint a commercially minded Regulatory Lawyer with experience across at least two of the following areas:

• Health, safety & environment

• Product, food & consumer law

• Transport law

• Financial crime & supply chain

• General/corporate crime & defence

You will work alongside recognised market-leading lawyers on a broad range of advisory, investigatory and contentious regulatory matters, including high-profile investigations, Crown Court proceedings, Coroner’s Court matters and regulatory enforcement actions.

This role offers genuine breadth, responsibility and autonomy within a collegiate and highly supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising clients on complex regulatory and compliance matters

• Supporting clients through investigations and enforcement actions

• Managing PACE interviews, inquests and criminal/regulatory proceedings

• Assisting on Crown Court and Coroner’s Court matters

• Advising on ESG, consumer and product regulatory issues

• Supporting key client relationships and account management

• Leading and contributing to business development initiatives

• Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers within the team

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years’ PQE within Regulatory, Criminal or Health & Safety law

• Experience across at least two core regulatory disciplines

• Strong advocacy and investigatory experience

• Commercially focused with excellent client management skills

• Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to team culture

• Genuine interest in business development and strategic client work

• Strong communication, analytical and leadership capability
