Harkaye Core Talent is proud to be partnering with a leading commercial law firm in Leeds in the search for an ambitious and commercially minded Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join its highly successful and growing Commercial team.

This opportunity is ideal for a solicitor with circa 3–5 years’ PQE who is looking to take the next step within a dynamic and forward-thinking environment, working with an impressive portfolio of national and international clients across a broad range of sectors.

The Opportunity

Joining a thriving Commercial practice that has experienced significant growth in recent years, you will advise a diverse client base ranging from fast-growing SMEs to household-name brands on a wide spectrum of commercial matters.

The role offers excellent exposure across:

• General commercial contracts

• Technology and IT agreements

• Intellectual property matters

• Privacy and data protection

• Strategic commercial projects and advisory work

You will play a key role in managing client relationships, leading matters with increasing autonomy, and contributing to the continued growth of the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements

• Advising on supply, purchase and distribution contracts

• Supporting outsourcing, media and marketing arrangements

• Negotiating technology agreements including SaaS and software licensing

• Providing commercially focused and pragmatic legal advice

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships

• Mentoring and supporting junior team members

• Supporting business development initiatives and networking activity

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years’ PQE within Commercial law

• Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts

• Commercially astute with excellent client-facing skills

• Experience advising on IT and technology-related agreements highly desirable

• Ability to provide clear, practical and solution-oriented advice

• Positive, proactive and collaborative approach

• Genuine enthusiasm for client development and networking
