Employment Senior Associate - 4+ years' PQE

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Lawyer to join the expanding employment practice of a leading international law firm.

Acting for a portfolio of major UK and global employers, you'll advise on complex employment matters while working alongside recognised specialists on strategic, high-value and often cross-border mandates. This role offers the chance to take on significant responsibility, develop long-term client relationships and play an active role in the continued growth of a highly successful team.

The Position

You'll advise clients across the full spectrum of employment law, supporting businesses through both contentious and advisory matters.

Your workload is likely to include:

• Managing complex Employment Tribunal litigation from start to finish.

• Advising on disciplinary, grievance, discrimination and whistleblowing matters.

• Supporting employers through restructurings, redundancies and large-scale organisational change.

• Advising on the employment aspects of mergers, acquisitions, outsourcing and other corporate transactions.

• Handling senior executive and board-level issues, including exits, restrictive covenants, remuneration and team moves.

• Working with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions on international employment matters.

• Developing trusted relationships with clients and contributing to business development and networking activities.

This is a broad role offering exposure to a wide variety of sectors and some of the most interesting employment work in the market.

What We're Looking For

Applications are welcomed from solicitors with 4+ years' PQE gained within a recognised commercial employment practice.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong technical employment law expertise across both contentious and advisory work.

• Experience acting for employer clients on complex workplace issues.

• Confidence managing their own caseload while supervising more junior lawyers where appropriate.

• Commercial awareness and the ability to provide practical, business-focused advice.

• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.

• A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for working as part of a national team.

Experience advising on cross-border matters, High Court litigation or the employment aspects of corporate transactions would be advantageous but is not essential.
