The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity for a Childcare Solicitor to join a supportive and experienced team. You will manage a rewarding caseload focused on public law children matters, working closely with clients through sensitive and complex situations.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a caseload of public childcare matters
Advising and representing clients in:
Care proceedings
Supervision orders
Emergency protection orders
Special guardianship orders
Representing clients at Family Court hearings
Working closely with local authorities, guardians, and other professionals
Providing compassionate, client-focused advice during challenging circumstances
Supporting junior team members where appropriate
About You
Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
Ideally 2+ years’ PQE in Childcare / Family Law (flexible)
Experience handling public law children matters
Ideally a member of the Law Society Children Panel (or working towards)
Strong advocacy and client care skills
Empathetic, resilient, and able to manage sensitive cases
