The Opportunity
This is a strategic leadership role for an experienced Clinical Negligence specialist to take full ownership of a well-established but high-growth department. You will shape the direction of the practice, lead a national team, and play a key role in the firm’s wider leadership structure.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, develop, and scale the Clinical Negligence department nationally
Define and execute the strategic growth plan, including revenue and team expansion
Oversee a complex caseload of high-value and sensitive claims
Drive operational excellence, ensuring strong financial performance and KPI delivery
Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and development
Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the firm to align with broader business objectives
Enhance the firm’s market presence through networking, partnerships, and brand positioning
About You
Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with significant Clinical Negligence experience
Proven leadership experience at Head of Department / Partner / Senior Associate level
Strong track record of business development and team growth
Commercially astute with the ability to manage P&L and drive profitability
Passionate about delivering client-focused outcomes in complex and sensitive matters
A natural leader with the ability to inspire, influence, and scale teams
